Hunter Weissman - Recreation Supervisor


September 8, 2022 - Watertown, MA

Peter Centola, Director of the Watertown Recreation Department is pleased to announce the hire of Hunter Weissman for the position of Recreation Supervisor effective as of September 6, 2022. Hunter has worked for the Recreation Department as a seasonal employee for the past two and a half years as well as completing his internship with the department.

Hunter’s main responsibilities include supervising and managing staff and participants, instructing active and passive recreational activities, maintain supplies, equipment, materials in support of all programs, develop schedules, tournaments, special events and supervise and evaluate our recreational facilities. In addition, he will enforce recreation policies, procedures, park rules, and perform other duties that may be assigned.

Hunter is a recent graduate of Franklin Pierce University and has a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management and is currently in the process of getting his MBA in Leadership at Franklin Pierce. Hunter played on the varsity baseball team as a catcher for Franklin Pierce and he was a 3-time NE-10 academic honor roll selectee.

He is a big fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and some of his hobbies include outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, baseball, and softball.
